Six Nations 2014: Biggest Hits of the Opening Weekend

Tom SunderlandFeatured ColumnistJune 14, 2016

Assembling some of the finest rugby talent that the Northern Hemisphere has to offer, last weekend opened up the 2014 Six Nations in barnstorming style.

As well as all the finesse and flair that comes complimentary of such esteemed company, however, there were bruises to be dished out and physical head-to-head battles in need of settling.

In Paris, England and France were left separated by just two points in the end, and the tightness of their encounter came across in the collisions.

Scotland may have left Dublin empty-handed, but they didn't come without collecting their share of hits on the hosts first.

And last but most certainly not least, Wales and Italy tried to talk matters out at the Millennium Stadium, but thankfully for the neutral, things took on a far more physical twist.

So, with the continental elite duking it out for our entertainment, try not to blink as we run down the biggest hits of the Six Nations' opening weekend.
